The Zilmar Beux Racetrack, in Cascavel, was the stage for the opening of the Paraná Speed Championship. The race was held on Saturday (13) and Sunday (14), also valid for the opening stage of the Cascavel Metropolitan Brands Championship.
The first race of the “A” and “B” Brands categories was held on Saturday afternoon, at 3:50 pm, with the fifteen participants taking part in a very competitive race, with “fights” at various points on the track for better positions in both categories.

At the start, Rafael Barranco maintained the lead in the General, followed closely by Edson Bueno, Paulo Bento and Gustavo Magnabosco from category “A”. Rafael Barranco gradually opened up an advantage in the lead, with a great battle between Edson Bueno and Paulo Bento for second place, alternating twice in the position. In category “B”, Sextilho Hans Jr. maintained the lead, followed by Gustavo dos Santos and Marcos Cortina. After 22 laps, the victory went to Rafael Barranco, in the General and in Brands “A”, with a total time of 33min22s200, followed by Edson Bueno, 2s677 behind, Paulo Bento, 2s966 behind, Gustavo Magnabosco, 5s751 behind, and Marcelo Beux, 31s249 behind. And in Brands “B”, Sextilho Hans Jr won, with a time of 33m244s474, with Gustavo dos Santos in second, 7s217 behind, and Marcos Cortina in third, 1m07s652 behind. Paulo Bento set the fastest lap of the race, on the sixth lap, with a time of 1m18s250, at an average speed of 140.688 km/h.
