1947 Chrysler Windsor receives INJEPRO electronic injection system during event

At the 2019 edition of the Motor Show Summer Fest, we performed a live transformation at the event from a carbureted car to an injected car, an event that was held from March 22nd to 24th at Speedway Music Park in Balneário Camboriú/SC.

The action that transformed the car that used a carburetor-equipped engine system, now uses an electronic injection management system. So far so good, because many cars do this, but we are talking about the transformation of a 1947 Chrysler Windsor equipped from the factory with a 6-cylinder Spitfire engine and LIVE, that is, during the event's programming.

The transformation was carried out at INJEPRO, with the help of the company's team of tuners and mechanical engineers, led by Eduardo Deitos, a renowned consultant with extensive experience in a wide range of electronic injection management systems. “In this 1947 Chrysler Windsor project, we replaced the vehicle's original carburetor with an electronic injection body, with a base for 4 injectors, so as not to lose the original appearance, while also trying to keep everything as hidden as possible. In addition, we added a phonic wheel kit, but left the distributor to distribute the sparks,” explains Deitos. Another detail that Eduardo highlighted was the fact that the public present at the Motor Show Summer Fest was able to follow this transformation up close, asking questions about the system, as well as the benefits associated with its use, and all of this directly with the team of professionals and consultants from INJEPRO. “We carried out this experiment of transforming another vehicle in November/2018 during the edition of the Londrina Motor Show. And the result was so positive that we repeated this work in the edition of the Motor Show Summer Fest, and in addition to preparing an even more special surprise for the MS TRADE SHOW, an event of the Motor Show that will be held in Curitiba in August of this year”, concludes Eduardo Deitos.

For Edison da Silva, owner of the 1947 Chrysler, the transformation was interesting because he had been looking to update his car with a reliable electronic injection management system that had resources available for full engine adjustment. “Anyone who has an old car knows what it’s like to leave the car ready to go for a drive on the weekend and then, when you go to start it, it won’t start or it fails. This is because these old cars are not made for today’s fuel, as well as other factors that also influence this behavior. With this update, I have more confidence in a pleasant drive, where the Chrysler will be ready for any situation”, explains the motivated Edison.
